Drop2MD is a free Markdown converter that runs in your browser. Documents and pasted rich text are processed on your device. Drop2MD servers never receive the file. Use it when “no upload” and “in browser” matter more than hosted OCR suites.

Are files uploaded to Drop2MD?
No. Conversion runs in your browser. Drop2MD servers never receive the file in Phase 1.
Is Drop2MD completely private?
Drop2MD does not receive your documents for conversion. Absolute privacy depends on your device and browser. We state the no-upload model clearly, not absolute privacy.
Where is history stored?
Optional history is stored in localStorage on your device only. Large files may skip history.
Is there a server API?
Not yet. Phase 2 is planned. The catalog at /ai-catalog.json stays honest about api.status.
