Text PDF or scanned?

  1. Open the PDF and try selecting a sentence with your mouse.
  2. If text highlights, Drop2MD can convert it locally.
  3. If you can only select the whole page as an image (or nothing), it is a scan — Drop2MD will not OCR it.

Does Drop2MD upload my PDF?

No. Conversion stays in your browser. Drop2MD servers never receive the file.

Does Drop2MD do OCR on PDFs?

No. Text-native PDFs only. Scanned or image-only PDFs will not extract reliably.

What is the max PDF size?

Up to 100 MiB. Larger inputs may skip local history; preview, copy, and download still work.

Can I convert multiple PDFs at once?
