How paste conversion works

The paste path uses Turndown client-side. It is separate from the anydoc WASM file engine. No file upload is required.

  1. Open the Drop2MD converter.
  2. Copy rich text from Google Docs, Word, or a web page.
  3. Click Paste to Markdown or press Ctrl/⌘+V.
  4. Copy or download the Markdown.

Can I paste from Google Docs to Markdown?

Yes. Copy from Google Docs, then use Paste to Markdown or Ctrl/⌘+V on Drop2MD. Conversion runs locally with Turndown.

Does Drop2MD upload clipboard content?

No. Paste conversion is client-side. Drop2MD servers do not receive clipboard content.

Is paste the same as PDF conversion?

No. Files use anydoc WASM. Paste uses Turndown on HTML or plain text.
